Located in a charming area, The Hideaway offers easy access to nearby attractions like Keswick. With well-organized key collection and a warm welcome from the owner, settling in is a breeze. The comfortable and clean rooms make you feel at home, and the little touches like a welcome booklet and leaflets for local attractions are a nice addition.

Loved cycling nearby, but good luck finding a parking spot with the "private parking". Oh, and the free WiFi? It was so slow, I had enough time to cycle to Carlisle and back before a page loaded.
The WiFi was as fast as a snail on a bicycle.

Felt satisfied, no reason to complain.

The decoration at The Hideaway was simply charming and had a lovely, homely feel to it. The hotel's general areas were clean and well-kept, making it a pleasure to spend time in. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated how accessible the hotel was, with easy access to the rooms and common areas. It made my stay much more comfortable and enjoyable.
If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be for the children working there to provide a wider range of activities specifically catered for senior guests.

The Hideaway in Cockermouth was awesome! The room was so cozy and comfy, with cute decor that made me feel right at home. I loved having not just one, but two bathrooms to choose from - one with a bath and the other with a shower. It was like having my own little spa retreat!
The only thing that didn't really float my boat was that one of the bathrooms only had a shower. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

I keep coming back for the friendly staff who gave me directions to attractions. This place has Wi-Fi, paid parking, cycling, beach access, and allows pets. No smoking on site. Perfect for my romantic escapes.

Easy to find, well organised key collection by owners. Conveniently located near attractions and amenities. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The owners were helpful and friendly, and even provided a welcome booklet and brochures to help plan our visit. it felt like a home away from home.
Limited parking spaces, which made it difficult to find a spot. The shower pressure was weak and the water temperature was inconsistent.
